Place:

It sits right below the ramp that leads up to Grand Central — as a result it is a little hidden.

It looks interesting and very nice from the outside with the round windows that produce wonderful reflections.  The inside is a classical restaurant in a bistro-ish style.

And it is a great place to sit and watch people entering and leaving Grand Central Terminal.

Food:

I was there for breakfast at maybe 11 am.  That was too late for them:  No more breakfast at this time of day.  So I only had coffee and a piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream.

It was not bad — but tiny and expensive.  So I guess that place is not perfect for the hungry traveler who is looking for a bargain.

Besides breakfast they serve lunch, dinner and brunch at weekends.

Service:

Very professional, maybe a little too cool and unconcerned.  Well, maybe I didn't match the usual business audience that day with my camera equipment.  OK, sweetie, next time I bring my business suit if that makes me a better customer. ;)

Overall:

I'd go there again for looking at people around Grand Central Terminal and picture taking —  not for food or extra friendly service.
