Place:

It's hard to miss this place because Shoshone has a population of not much more than 50.  If you leave south on highway 127 it will be on the left side.  Somehow it is strange to see an "Internet" sign out there in the desert.

The café is in a rather small house, nicely decorated, somehow artsy.  Once you stepped inside you're in a very different world. Not only food-wise.

Food:

If you're looking for junk food just go up the street and have burger and fries at the Crowbar.  You won't get such a thing at Café C'est Si Bon:  Homemade bread and croissants smell wonderful, organic food is offered and it is more slow than fast food.

When the café was opened there was a strong French-Canadian influence and I assume there still is.  Knowing the superb French way of cooking and how much the French enjoy food this is an absolute pro.  Everything I had there was very tasteful and rich.

Service:

David WashumThe owner David knows the food and beverage business from scratch.  Don't expect less than a very friendly person.  And:  Bring some time, don't be in a hurry.  Everything is cooked to order.

Overall:

This café is a kind of European place you probably wouldn't expect out there in the west.  To me it is one of these places that make me wish to go back there again and again ...
