Place:

Situated in the middle of vineyards this place offers a very nice environment.  If you plan to stay longer than for lunch only, it can be a great starting point to explore the region.

Double-check for a quiet room:  A wedding party might give you a sleepless night if you have a room right above the restaurant.

They also offer a small house they call "Cabanon".  It really looks cute — but don't think you could sit outside on the patio and have a peaceful and quiet day:  The dirt road right beside the Cabanon is dusty and all traffic to the restaurant passes by ...


Food:

The menu hasn't changed remarkably over the last ten or fifteen years.  I consider that a pro — no chef wants to prove any Nouvelle Cuisine ambitions here.

Quality is good — even though some things were better years ago:  I still remember when I could choose between several sorts of cheese and got help from the waitress regarding the origin of the cheeses.  Last time it was just a plate with two or three different types of goat cheese.


Service:

Some years ago it was a very personal place with good service.  I was a house guest then.

My last experience was quite mixed:  One waitress was friendly but forgetful, another tried to share her stress instead of a smile.  No, I was not satisfied.


Overall:

It was perfect when it was not known very well in the beginning of the Nineties.  It is still a nice place today but I would not book a room there anymore:  Business rules — which is a common and necessary thing.  But as I still remember the good old times ...

If you want to get your own impression I recommend lunch, which is quite reasonably priced.
