Place:

As a "normal" tourist or traveler this place is probably not on your way.  Nevertheless it is worth a visit due to the atmosphere and quality of food.

Especially at dawn it is nice to sit outside and watch the sky turning dark blue.  The building is pretty old and nice, it is situated in a park,  there's trees, furniture has style — especially at the patio (no plastic stuff that can be found so often where a chair is less expensive than the cheapest drink).

Food:

Very good!  The owner, Miss Dehmer, did a great job already in her former restaurant in Darmstadt — quality at this new place is as good.  The small menu offers a good choice, prices are moderate.  If you have the chance to go there for lunch you'll get the same quality as for dinner but it is self-service.  You're gonna be stuffed for maybe only 60% of the price then.

Service:

Always friendly, a little hectic sometimes at lunch time when too many people walk in at the same time — but it won't ruin your day and what you get is worth it.

Well, I remember some guest who had too much alcohol and they were — hmm, a little too loud.  Normally I'd call them yuppies (young urban professionals), but as Bensheim is not urban at all that doesn't fit.  Young small town professionals — can you pronounce this:  Ystppies? ;-)

Overall:

I just like this place.
