As you find so many places in Rome where they
serve good coffee: What is so special about this one? Founded
in 1946 it is one of the oldest coffee bars in Rome which still
roasts its own coffee. Also the atmosphere in a place that
announces the best coffee in the world must be special, right?
People in the bar are a great mix of locals
and (very often helpless) tourists. So get your cappuccino and
a find some space at the bar (there's no seats available) to sip
and watch.
I've been there in the middle of the 70ies
for the first time — and Tazza D'Oro is still there and one of
my favorite places to have a coffee: Piazza della Rotonda and
the Pantheon are just around the corner. It's a classic!
