January 20, 2004:

The first impression is solid and exciting.

From what I read about this lens and if the comments regarding quality were right I assume I'm gonna have fun with it.

 

February 29, 2004:

I used the lens at some occasions and I got more and more acquainted with it.  I haven't seen any problems regarding quality so far.

 

June 8, 2004:

I got used to this lens and the little problem regarding focusing I encountered first does not exist anymore.  It's like with so many things in life:  Today it seems natural to focus first and then adjust the aperture.

I use the Zenitar fisheye more than I thought I would.  Especially at night in cities without a tripod it produced great results.  See one example below – and more in my gallery.

The lens was absolutely worth the money.
